Holi Festival In Thailand

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad Association of Thailand (VHP) invites everyone to join Holi Festival, the Festival of Colours at Thammasart University, Tha Prachan Campus on Sunday March 27th, 2016. During the celebration, participants will enjoy smearing coloured water made from traditional, organic powder from India on one another’s body. Together with live concert and food stalls, everyone will be expected to have so much fun.

 

Holi is a Hindu festival which is originally practiced in India, Nepal but later on spreads widely to several regions where Hindu populations are settling. This festive occasion signifies love and happiness since it is meant to celebrate the victory of Vishnu, a Hindu god over the demon named Holika. Holi will be celebrated after the full-moon night in every March, dated on March 24th this year. People will dance under the splashing colourful water and dress traditionally without minding getting wet and dirty.

 

In Thammasart, Tha Pracha Campus, the celebration will take place on its football stadium. Prepared to get soaked, participants are recommended to wear clothes which are ready to be disposable. The organiser guarantees that the whole celebration does not required admission fee and will be refrained from alcohols. This joyful moment will start from 10:00 until 17:00 on March 27th, 2016.
