Organised by the Hungarian Thai Chamber of Commerce (HunCham) to celebrate the vibrant, developing connection between Hungary and Thailand, “Beyond Horizons: Hungarian Gala of Taste & Culture” was recently hosted at the Hyatt Regency Sukhumvit Bangkok.

The gala event was well attended by business and industry leaders, together with many foreign chambers’ presidents and representatives. VIP attendees included Mr Sanan Angubolkul, Chairman of The Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade; Ms Vibeke Lyssand Leirvag, Chair of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand, and Dr Nalinee Taveesin, President of Thai Trade Representatives.

The keynote address was delivered by HE Ambassador Sandor Sipos of Hungary. He was followed by Mrs Pojjana Paniangvait, President of The Hungarian-Thai Chamber of Commerce who welcomed all with opening speech.

Mrs Pojjana highlighted the clear mission of the chamber, to serve as a vital bridge connecting businesses and cultural landscapes of Hungary and Thailand, saying, “Our core objectives revolve around four key pillars: to promote trade and investment, cultural exchange, tourism activities and educational opportunities. We believe that by focusing on these areas, we can create a strong and sustainable partnership that benefits both our countries."

The guests were entertained with Hungarian folk dances and music while dinner included renowned Hungarian goulash and rich Hungarian wines.

HunCham is a new chamber of commerce, only established in May 2023 with the strong support of the Embassy of Hungary.
