On the joyous occasion of the celebration of the 214th anniversary of the National Day of the Republic of Chile, I have the pleasure of underscoring the friendly and strong relations that exist between my country and the Kingdom of Thailand.
We are joined by a pioneering Free Trade Agreement, which has been successful in expanding our economic links. We are partners in APEC and work together to find new opportunities across the Pacific. Chile has been a Development Partner of ASEAN for the last five years and looks forward to deepening further the links with a region that is also a priority for Thailand’s foreign policy. Chile wants to further expand its interaction with the region by seeking membership in RCEP, and value stronger links of Thailand with the Pacific Alliance.
From our joint commitment to sustainability, to clean and healthy oceans, to energy transition, peace and stability, the enjoyment of our natural wonders, our foods, the wine, the culture and the arts. May the links between Thailand and Chile grow stronger every day!
