The first of July is the day that Canada celebrates its confederation, the process which established the Dominion of Canada as a federal state and a parliamentary democracy in 1867. Canada is a relatively young nation, with a vibrant and diverse multicultural and multilingual society. As a proud Pacific country, one in five Canadians has roots in the Indo-Pacific!
I am so pleased to represent Canada in Thailand. Canada is committed to working closely with Thailand to address global issues and foster increased prosperity. Together, we are striving to build a strong future for all – one that is secure, resilient, inclusive and more sustainable for generations to come.
